Purchasing Flare software grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install, activate, and use the compiled executable software. Software is licensed, not sold. The purchase does not transfer intellectual property rights, copyright, or source code.
1. Grant of License
Subject to your continuous compliance with these terms and full payment of applicable license fees, Flare Studios grants you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and execute A8SDT 2026, plugins, and accompanying digital documentation solely in machine-readable object code format.
Unless explicitly specified otherwise on your invoice:
- Perpetual Commercial License: Grants lifetime use of the specified software version without recurring monthly subscription fees.
- Evaluation / Trial License: Grants a time-limited, non-commercial license strictly for evaluating software features and compatibility.
2. Intellectual Property & No Source Code Transfer
The software, its structure, visual interface, GPU rendering pipeline, shader algorithms, timeline choreography engines, documentation, and all related proprietary intellectual property are owned exclusively by Flare Studios and its licensors.
IMPORTANT: Under no circumstances does this License Agreement transfer, convey, or assign any title, copyright, trademark, trade secret, or underlying source code of Flare Studios to you or any third party.
3. Machine Activations & Seat Limits
Each standard individual license permits installation and activation on up to two (2) personal computers (for example, one primary desktop workstation and one portable laptop), provided that:
- Both machines are owned and used exclusively by the single registered individual licensee.
- The software is not executed concurrently by multiple distinct operators on both machines.
For multi-seat studio deployments or enterprise floating licenses, each physical seat or concurrent operator requires an independent purchased seat license.
4. Permitted Commercial Use & Deliverables
You are authorized to use the software to create commercial client work, feature films, television broadcasts, social media campaigns, video games, broadcast motion graphics, and interactive multimedia.
All rendered videos, exported raster images, audio mixes, and creative deliverables generated with the software are your exclusive property. Flare Studios claims 0% royalty, 0% rev-share, and no copyright interest in your exported media.
5. Strict Restrictions & Prohibitions
You agree not to, directly or indirectly:
- Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, decrypt, or attempt to extract the source code or proprietary shaders of the software.
- Rent, lease, lend, resell, distribute, sublicense, or host the software as a shared software-as-a-service (SaaS) or render farm without written enterprise authorization.
- Publish, share, or distribute your private license key, activation tokens, or installer binaries on public repositories, forums, or torrent networks.
- Modify, remove, or obscure any proprietary copyright notices, watermarks, or digital signatures embedded in the software.
- Develop or distribute competing software products derived from the reverse engineering of Flare architectures.
6. Updates, Maintenance & Major Releases
Your license includes all minor maintenance releases, performance enhancements, GPU driver patches, and bug fixes issued for your purchased major version cycle (e.g., all 2026.x updates).
Future major generational releases (e.g., version 2027+) may be made available as separate paid upgrades or at discounted loyalty rates at Flare Studios' discretion.
7. Third-Party Libraries & Open Components
Certain components of our toolset may incorporate third-party open-source libraries (e.g., standard math, OpenGL/Vulkan wrappers, FFmpeg codecs). Such components are governed by their respective open-source licenses and attribution notices included in the software distribution directory.
8. Limited Warranty & Disclaimers
The software is provided "AS IS", with all faults and without warranty of any kind. Flare Studios disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular motion graphics pipeline, and non-infringement.
Flare Studios does not guarantee that the software will be uninterrupted, bug-free, or compatible with non-supported custom hardware configurations.
9. Termination of License
This agreement is effective until terminated. Your license rights terminate automatically without notice from Flare Studios if you fail to comply with any material term of this agreement. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of the software in your possession.
10. Mandatory License Acknowledgment
By purchasing, downloading, installing, or activating our software, you agree to the applicable Purchase Terms, Refund Policy and Software License Agreement.
